band concert

in sixth grade at alex's school all kids are required to take band or chorus. alex chose to stick with band. they're also required to perform at three band concerts with a very specific wardrobe. alex had her first of those band concerts this week. she was the first to walk out (well, the percussion players sneak in the back first) and she sat in the first chair (i don't think that means anything at this age as far as talent) and she did great. they're a decent band altogether. alex had coding on saturday. they are almost done for the calendar year. and aunt laurie was in town so we all went over for dinner together. alex made rolls to go with the dinner and they were delicious.
