we went to the circus again this year (me, john, alex, bopey and normy-norm) and it was good fun for a while. alex was dancing at the beginning, watching the clowns and elephants and horses and so forth. she made it a little past intermission and then she had had enough - she kept wanting to walk around and buy stuff and then completely broke down once we did leave (which was shortly after intermission when the tigers came on). she still had fun, but the circus is a little too long for her. other than that it was an uneventful weekend. alex had been telling me that "big girls wear diapers and poop in their pants" and finally yesterday told me that "big girls poop in the potty" - that's progress :) and she's recognizing the look of letters and numbers now and being able to identify them - i know they do that at school, but i didn't know how much she knew - she's got her numbers down and she's pretty good with a lot of letters. she'll be reading in no time - ha ha.
