talk about off-schedule all weekend? you'd think dealing with the time change is bad enough, alex had us completely off normal sleep schedule all weekend so badly that the time change may have actually helped! friday ended up being a snow day for alex and john and they worked and played so hard all day that alex was out cold at 4:30 in the afternoon. so she was asleep before i even got home from work - then john and lonnie went to puppy school while i awaited the wakening of the princess...waiting...waiting...she woke up for about 20 minutes total asking for food and a movie. by the time i came back with her food she was asleep again for the night. well, until 3 am when she woke up wanting breakfast! so of course we were up at that point and by the time gymnastics roled around it felt like mid-day/evening to us. so that just started the whole weekend off with early bed and early rise - which is exhausting. this photo is from saturday night when she wanted to watch a show on my ipod and then when i looked away she had fallen asleep again for the night. other than being nocturnal all weekend, we had fun. lonnie was doing exceptional all weekend and even sat there nicely while alex played dog doctor with him - she was looking in his ears and mouth and applying band-aids and all while lonnie just sat there for her. happy dance class monday - and yay, finally the long-awaited dora the ballerina is on tonight (thank goodness, we've been hearing about that too much for the last two weeks).
