i'm not sure why they do it this way, but every season there's one day with double soccer games. parents with multiple kids must live at the fields that day. alex got to be goalie in both games and did a wonderful job - she let zero goals in! she did a great job on the field as well when she was paying attention. it is a lot to ask kids that age to play in two games. half the time she was having social hour on the field or just not even paying attention. she had a couple good runs on the ball - one time she may have even been able to drive for the goal except that her shoe came off mid-field. she did great overall - it was an exhausting day. she also did a great job this weekend cleaning her room! john helped her of course, but it's amazing the difference in her room. on sunday, alex wanted me to make mom shaped pancakes for mother's day, but that didn't happen, haha. i made her regular old round, stick in the toaster, eggos :)
