we had a full weekend of fun. friday night, alex and i went to the indoor pool - she is very slowly improving and getting braver. then errands after the pool; fun times. saturday was an entire day of baking and cutting and decorating cookies. my goodness that is a lot of work. carter and sarah and matthew came over for cookie making day - sarah and i split up the prep duties and the boys watched carter and the dog. alex was a huge help; she rolled and cut and decorated. after carter napped and ran around with the dog, he helped decorate a cookie. alex taste tested everything, of course, so she had her share of sugar that day. then on sunday, we went to see annie at the beck center. we went with bopey and the burger girls (although they had a busy weekend too and didn't quite make it thru the entire show.) we had lunch with them, which for alex included a brownie! the show was great - alex said she loved it. then we followed up the show with bopey's birthday dinner. so alex got to have some chocolate cake after dinner (even though she already had a brownie at lunch, oi)! and today, alex got to wear her pajamas to school since an elf is coming in to class to read them the polar express.
