happy thanksgiving
it was nice to get a few days off of work and school. we started off the break by driving down to grandpa jerry's in cincinnati. aunt mary wasn't cooking this year (i don't blame her, i wouldn't want to either) so we ended up eating our thanksgiving dinner at iHop. alex loved that because she ordered chocolate chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon and then topped it with butter pecan syrup - haha, it's like her dream thanksgiving meal. then we had christmas with grandpa jerry and uncle john. alex got a lot of stuff but legos was the main story of christmas. she spent most of the rest of the visit putting together some lego sets - and playing connect 3 (yes, it's supposed to be connect 4, but she was winning a lot more with connecting 3 so of course she wanted to play it that way.) then even after we got back to cleveland she spent most of her time putting together legos. on early sunday morning, alex and i went to see frozen in 3d - it was fantastic. alex says it's her new favorite and wants to be elsa for halloween (i was hoping she wanted to be ralph in a bunny suit, but i suppose a snow queen is much more appealing to an almost 7 year old, haha.)
