the arctic blast

alex was back to school this week; although she had two extra days off thanks to the arctic blast or polar blast or whatever it is they're calling it. so alex and john worked on cleaning up most of christmas and the house and having some fun. even drums were cancelled this week because the crazy driveway to get to OPA was so iced over. those extra days gave john and alex time to make cupcakes to take to school for alex's birthday celebration. then this weekend, on saturday, alex had her friend abby's birthday party. it was abby's house, and they hired a face painter and they made balloon animals and had a great time. now back to school again - maybe this week will be a little more back to normal.
