it was a super busy, but fun weekend for us all. first, alex started the school league lacrosse this week. it's 4th-6th grade girls from her school on the team. alex had fun, although she said that they classes she took earlier taught her a different way of doing all her throws and catches so she needs to relearn everything. that's fine though as long as she's enjoying herself overall. it will make homework that much tougher on those nights though. saturday, alex and i went to wizard world! which is basically a comic con. alex went dressed as eleven from stranger things and i went dressed as kaylee from firefly. both those actresses were there: we got autographs from both of them on my pop vinyls of them; and we got our photos taken with each. the picture here is alex with millie bobby brown who plays eleven in the netflix series. they were both so sweet to alex. we also sat in on panels for both of these actresses, which is always fun. we ran into my friend aaron, who was volunteering to raise money with the 501st where he dresses up as a stormtrooper. so alex got to "blast" him with a nerf blaster. we walked around and had a good time. alex was so thrilled and loved millie bobby brown. while we were at wizard world john went to a hockey game with matthew, and it sounds like they had a good time together and brought home a win for the monsters. on sunday, alex and i had tickets to see Mamma Mia! alex wanted to go and it was the farewell tour. i was skeptical because the movie is just not good at all, but the theatrical performance was great! it was so much fun, the woman who played the mom was fantastic. we had a wonderful time.
