serpentine mounds

alex had more lacrosse this week and we're gathering all the right gear for her. there are so many girls in the league that they are going to break them into 2 teams so they all get some game time. i'm not sure how exactly that will work out, but it sounds like a good plan. this weekend, john and alex went on a little trip with john's friend, jeff, and one of his kids, quinn. they went to the serpentine mounds and some other mounds in ohio. they stayed in a small cabin with bunk beds. they had a campfire, cooked s'mores, caught a crayfish, climbed a fire tower, went to an old diner, found pottery pieces, hiked a lot, ate more food, and taste tested cheese. i'm sure they did a lot more, but that's the gist of what i heard. they had a nice time, and learned some more about history. i got some crafting done and got the sourdough starter going and john put the barn back together when he got home!
