alex had a long weekend for president's day (i did not.) but that was nice for her since she had a lot of studying and research work to do. she also spent all her car time studying and writing. winter lacrosse is almost over, but she loves it so it will be exciting when the regular game season starts. this weekend alex and i went to detroit to visit my friend, karin, and her son, sebastien. i went to high school with karin and she was one of my college roommates at miami. the kids got along really well and we all had a lot of fun. while we were there alex wanted to visit jack white's record store, third man records. it was really neat. they print vinyls there too (although it was a saturday so the presses weren't going) it was still need to see the set up through the viewing windows. they also had fun stuff like this animatronic juke box, a special photo booth, a music stage, and instruments and such. karin lives in a cool suburb of detroit where you can walk to a bunch of local shops and restaurants. we had a great time :)
