the dark crystal

alex had her last day of winter lacrosse on friday. and now they are trying to work out a schedule for the spring game season. she probably has about a month off, but we'll see what the weather does. on saturday, alex and john volunteered with the food bank at his school again. they both seem to enjoy helping and volunteering together. on sunday, we had tickets to see the dark crystal in the movie theater. i was the only one of us three that had seen it before! i loved that movie when i was a kid and it's still amazing to me that 35 years ago they were able to achieve such puppetry. they both enjoyed it as well. after the movie we enjoyed some yardhouse food. the rest of the weekend time alex studied and drew pictures and did some origami. she has a lot more studying and tests in the fifth grade.
