thanksgiving

it was a short school and work week for all of us. no clubs or coding for alex this week because of the holiday. thursday, we travelled down to cincinnati for thanksgiving. we went over to my aunt and uncles with my cousins for dinner. alex ate a lot of noodles, asparagus, sweet potatoes and rolls - none of the kids ate any turkey. for the past 4ish years, the second cousins have taken a picture together in front of the fireplace - they are all three getting rather tall. friday, we went to breakfast at frisch's, then shopping at the gap factory outlet. after shopping, the three of us plus my dad and brother all went to see ralph breaks the internet in a really big movie theater that served food and drinks at your seat. we didn't order any food there, but it smelled really good. the movie was a lot of fun with brilliant animation. that night, we went out to eat at the mexican place that we like. it was delicious, and i accidentally ordered a giant margarita (i'm not very good with knowing ounces)! saturday, we had breakfast at frisch's and then drove home to take care of the cat. we got out more christmas decorations and got some stuff done. sunday, i taught alex how to make ham, bean and dumpling soup. john and alex thought it was delicous, so she must have done a good job :)
