grandpa jerry and uncle john were up for a visit this weekend. i threw my back out, so i was laying around all weekend trying not to move :) grandpa jerry gave alex her first barbie doll along with some clothes that my mother had knit or sewn for a barbie for my cousin. so, of course, this turned into barbie having to try on every outfit and take it back off again only to end up naked by the end of it all (and believe me that barbie sweaters are not easy to put on or take off). alex also got a stuffed bunny from uncle john. grandpa regan and michelle also stopped by to give alex an easter present - a dress for her and one for a doll, a book, and a stuffed lamb (which alex sat in a chair and opened her new book to read to the lamb). and aparantly the stuffed lamb and the stuffed bunny are friends now. alex had a good weekend of gymnastics, presents and chowing on pizza and shrimp crackers.
oh and big milestone - alex got her new tinkerbell toddler bed and toy chests. she loves the bed and is very excited about it. in fact, the one night she wanted to lay down for a nap at 6pm!
