dark side of the moon

alex has been pretty good lately. she gives john a hard time in the morning most of the time about leaving for school, but she goes anyways. she doesn't quite understand that she can't just leap on top of me, but sometimes she asks me if i hurt my back. of course she's obsessed with the outdoors so it's impossible to get her to come inside or stay there once she's been out at all - seriously it's a huge unending tantrum where she just screams "outside" over and over again. and then she goes around asking who will go outside with her - she often asks kaya if she's going to go outside with her, and then asks if one of us is coming along. alex did cooperate with me yesterday though to record some lines so that i could use them as my ringtone - so now when my phone rings it's alex saying "answer your phone mommy" and john's ring is alex saying "i love you daddy" - they're cute.

the other night, nothing was on t.v. as usual except a concert, Pink Floyd. I think it was the song dark side of the moon that was playing when alex grabbed john's hand and said "i want to dance with you" and made him get up and dance with her - now if you don't know the song, dark side of the moon is a somewhat slow melodic song - so it was a lovely song to have a first dance with daddy to (well, a first dance that wasn't bouncing round the room).
