first, alex has discovered that she likes to have her fingernails and toenails painted. you wouldn't think she'd sit still long enough, but it is fast drying polish and she seems to really enjoy it. alex had fun at gymnastics, she woke up that morning saying that she wanted to do the bars and she got her wish - she got to do lots and lots of bars this week. then saturday afternoon/evening, my friend karen came over with her husband, scott and their twins, kate and julia. alex had so much fun playing with the girls. she wanted to do everything they were doing and be in the exact same spot and all. alex asked several times yesterday if she could call kate and julia and said she wanted to see them - and she asked again this morning to see them. it was so cute seeing all the girls playing together. then finally the weather has gotten nice enough that we pulled out the inflatable pool yesterday and alex got to play in the pool. we knew she'd love that and we also knew it would be a problem when we wanted her out of the pool. she did not want to get out at all, but she was completely exhausted and could have fallen asleep while walking she was so tired.
