well, everyone was back to school/work this week. alex is in her same classroom with miss rebecca, but she still gets to see miss deborah in the morning. luckily makenna was at school (grant is still on summer break because both his parents are teachers), so alex really enjoyed seeing her again. miss deborah said that alex and makenna act like sisters, they'll fight over something one second and the next they're playing and having fun again. miss deborah also thinks alex grew an inch in those summer weeks that she was gone and was impressed with some of her big sentences alex has been using lately. a new word that alex keeps using lately is "perfect", after she puts something where she wants it, she appraises it and says "perfect". and just an example of how long her sentences are getting now, the one night she had some chocolate pudding for dessert and kept saying to kaya, "kaya, you don't get any chocolate. i'm a big girl so i can eat chocolate with my mouth." in the picture alex is playing with her dress up stuff, she likes the accessories (shoes, jewelry, wings, etc) the best. i got her a cheap kazoo that she loved and is playing in the picture, but somehow managed to lose it somewhere in the house within a half hour or so!
