memphis kiddie park

so, this weekend was fun. we finally got out to the memphis kiddie park where all the rides are for kids shorter than 50 inches. they actually have quite a few rides there and you buy tickets and each ride is a ticket. so it's a cheap fun time. alex rode everything pretty much at least once. she liked every single ride and wanted to ride the boats, roller coaster and merry-go-round twice. of course, if we were willing to buy more tickets and hang around longer she would have wanted to ride everything again. when she first rode the roller coaster, which goes pretty fast actually, she looked rather scared (john rode with her) but the second loop around she was yelling "whee" and smiling. she liked ringing the bells on the boats and "steering" them. she kept talking about the rockets (there were two different rocket rides), but she said her favorite ride was the merry-go-ride. she said she liked going up and down on the horses. and obviously she didn't want to leave. later that night we decided to camp out in a tent in the back yard. alex really enjoyed sleeping out there, and she said so did bulldog (the stuffed animal she brings with her most places). she enjoyed it so much that last night when trying to put her to bed she was screaming that she wanted to go to bed in the tent.
