almost

the theme of the weekend/week seemed to be "almost". every time you asked alex to do something or tell her to do something her response was "almost". like..."alex, it's time to go take your bath", "almost, mommy, i'm still watching max and ruby". or "alex, it's time to go to gymnastics", "almost, i'm still petting jeffrey". as you can see in the picture alex is getting really good at building towers...or palaces (don't call it a castle, it's a "palace"). oh, and alex is really into the advent calendar. we have two - one where you open the flap and there's a picture or a saying and one that is all drawers that john filled with pieces of chocolate. she looks for the number (which she's getting really good at) and then has been surprised every day so far to find a piece of chocolate in the drawer or a picture behind the flap. then one bite into the chocolate and she's already asking to do it again!
