alex had her first dentist appointment on saturday. look at her sitting there all patiently staring at the hygienist like she's crazy for putting this paper bib on her. alex was squirmy in the waiting room and we had to make several trips to the restroom before we were called back to the appointment (alex uses trips to the bathroom as excuses to move around). once back in the chair she was patient and curious. she didn't like the light too much that they shine in your face so I covered her eyes and she opened up her mouth wide for the dentist. she let her brush her teeth, squirt water and suck out the water with only a little bit of squirming and getting her hands in the way. she has good looking teeth and there are gaps (which i guess is good at this age so the food doesn't get stuck and i don't have to floss her teeth yet! yay).
