sweet alex had a tough week. i guess there's a couple of bad seeds in her class (and one notorious bad seed in an older class) that have been affecting alex in some way or another. her teachers are aware and they are problem kids, so i guess alex will just learn early that not all kids are very nice. she also did not participate in gymnastics, she wanted no part of that this week - miss kim wasn't there this week though so that may have been part of it, but she was just not into leaving the house this weekend. john was away this weekend on a trip with grandpa regan and uncle matt, so we had a girls weekend at home. we had a fancy dinner out on friday night at burger king, then shopping - errands. saturday morning, we attempted gymnastics but didn't last and were soon back at home. but the weekend got better when we started making our pinata's. alex pretty much made hers all by herself, she ripped newspaper strips, mixed the paste, dipped the newspaper and put it on the balloons (thanks to bopey for bringing us balloons - since i popped the only one we had in the house!), and then painted her pinata. we also built a fort in the family room and watched movies - well, sorta, we watched mickey mouse's adventures in wonderland, but then followed that up with some classic flintstones and scooby doo. alex missed her daddy all weekend and was very happy to see him on sunday and get her present from him - an alphabet book about ohio.
