you might all remember that alex had stopped doing gymnastics back in the early spring - she had moved up to the next class and wasn't into it. she had in fact told us she didn't want to do it anymore, so we took a break. then, every time we would pass the facility alex would ask about gymnastics, so when it came time for fall sign-up we decided to give it another try. saturday was her first class back and it went great. her teacher is miss kim again, which we're very happy about. and a bunch of the girls in class are the same girls that were in her younger class with her. they all did great and alex had fun. in fact, from across the room while sitting on her carpet square alex said "i'm really good at this" - who needs to wait for other's acclamations when you can cheer yourself on. the weather over the weekend was kind of chilly and icky so we really didn't get out and do much. saturday, however, everyone came over for a cookout, including peter and owen. the three of them seemed to have a lot of fun playing in the backyard and eating their lunch at the picnic table.
