are you still in california, mommy?

sorry i missed a post last week, i was in LA and didn't have the best of tools available to me to blog. so now i have to think back two weeks. as you can see i gave alex a haircut. her hair was getting so long and it was such drama to comb it every night after the bath that i asked her if i could cut her hair and she said yes so i did. of course i either need to get a lot better at cutting hair or else i need to suck it up and pay someone to do it because it is the worst hack job ever. it looks great on her though, it just looks like she cut it herself. she also is back at daycare, and brought goodie bags and cupcakes to all her friends. she was so excited that they all sang "happy birthday" to her. she behaved really well for john while i was out of town and was great on the phone with me - asking things like "can i have a sleepover with emily?" and "are you still in califoria?" and then on the last night it switched over to "i miss you?" so it was great to come home. and as you can see, we had a successful baking session with the easy bake oven. alex make a chocolate cake with pink frosting. well, the cake didn't come out the pan that well, so it ended up being an upside down cake, but she enjoyed it all the same.
