play date and valentine prep

alex had a fun weekend. on saturday, she started the day with gymnastics - she won't go upside down again, but class was organized this week and went smoothly so that's always nice. then that afternoon, alex had a play date scheduled with one of my work friends and his youngest girl, livvy. wow, those girls can certainly fit a lot in to a short time. they had so much fun, they played air hockey, pool, they played outside in the snow, piano, strawberry shortcake, dollhouse, my little pony, and they puffy painted on shirts! alex has not stopped talking about livvy since - she wants to use the restroom all by herself now just like livvy, and wear headbands like livvy and so forth and so forth. the shirts are great - and the paint is so piled on i think they'll be drying for weeks. then yesterday, alex had to prep all her valentine's for her school party today - yay. she signed her name on all them - of course they are all signed differently and creatively, but not one of them actually says ALEX in the proper order - fine place to get artistic. and then we taped on candy to each valentine and alex did a nice job putting on the tape. happy valentine's day.
