baking and baking

the holidays are quickly approaching and we're trying to check things off our list of to-dos. so this weekend was all about baking and confectioning. well, friday, alex was home sick from the night before. so she and john created this fabulous looking gingerhead house from a kit that bopey gave her - they did a wonderful job. i guess alex wanted it to be exactly like the picture on the box. then on saturday we made buckeyes and mint chocolate chip cookies and other chocolates. after i finished the cookies alex tried a bite and her response was, "you should have left out the mint." but they are delicious. she got to try a buckeye on sunday and it appeared to have been well received. then alex and i finished the weekend with watching holiday movies and beading/macrame, sorta.
