alex had a birthday party to go to this weekend for her friend sophia. it was at playground world, which is basically a sales showroom where the kids can play. a lot of her friends were able to make it there in spite of the weather, and alex had a great time. she spent quite a bit of her time on the trampolines, which were really cool - they were springless with the big nets around the perimeter. alex of course enjoyed the pizza and cake - even though she told me the icing tasted weird and yucky (it was fondant.) alex has also be opening up her food horizons a little. last weekend she tried a bite of pickle and said it wasn't bad. this weekend she tried a bite of strawberry - she said she liked it but her facial expression said otherwise, and she tried pistachios which she loved. alex received a valentine present from grandpa jerry that included nail polish and lip gloss - as you can see she dug right into the red lip gloss. she's growing so fast i think i need to take her shopping because she is too tall for most of her pants already - i swear i just bought her a bunch of pants, oh well.
