alex had a school party on friday for st. patrick's day and she was all decked out in green and shamrocks. she had a great time at school and actually policed herself a little with all the sugar treat options and fell in love with some pizza flavored snack mix actually. on saturday the leprechauns left a map at our house for alex to read and follow to find the prize at the end which was a plant your own clovers kit - she loves to garden. and then on sunday was sarah's baby shower, that alex has been looking forward to for weeks. she gave her an octopus plush that she picked out herself along with three cards that alex made. alex helped hand sarah all her presents and stood aside so people could watch sarah as she opened and then alex handed me the wrapping paper to throw away. she did a great job with minimal nagging from me. and of course alex loved the desserts and ate a mini cake that had her bouncing off the walls for the rest of the day - and she's already talking about having those at her birthday party!
