we are back in full swing for the school year. alex has homework and reading assignments. soccer has started, even though her first game on saturday got rained out. and theatre class starts tonight. we also have school open house this week. sooo busy. earlier this week, alex was asking what it was like to have homework and said she wanted to start hers now. well, she got her chance, she did her first homework assignment yesterday. this is in addition to her nightly reading. the picture is of alex painting her first canvas piece. i've been working on a photo board painting so alex wanted to paint something, so i set her up with my easel and a canvas. she painted a picture of a house in nice bright colors. alex got to see her cousin this weekend, abbey. she's always excited about that. they had fun together. and finally, in addition to doing her homework alex assisted me in making doggie cookies for lonnie.
