it was a nice long weekend, even though we were stuck inside for parts due to crummy weather. saturday, we went to oktoberfest. we had not been to cleveland's oktoberfest before, it was fun. not nearly as large as the one in cincinnati, but enjoyable. we got there early so the crowd size was perfect, although it was really hot and humid. alex immediately enjoyed a cinnamon sugar giant pretzel and a giant hot dog. she later enjoyed quite a large cone of chocolate custard (she thinks it was ice-cream) with sprinkles. alex went on some of the bounce houses and slides and then we enjoyed a hay ride (minus the hay, and it had benches - best hay ride ever.) we saw a bit of german dancing and enjoyed some street polka while alex was enjoying her ice-cream. the rest of the weekend was not as eventful, it was full of getting stuff done and crafting and playing and forts. now we're really back into the swing of things this week, soccer starts and dance starts next week. and school is in full swing.
