we're all finally getting over being sick and starting to get things done again. alex and john are lucky enough to have a longer weekend and enjoy this presidents' day. alex has been practicing her song for voice class a lot - Vacation by the Go Gos. she made cake pops in her handy cake pop maker that she got for christmas or her birthday from bopey and normy-norm. she did it almost all by herself including assembling the maker and mixing the mix. she's the only one that has tried one, and assured me that it was just a little better than the red velvet cake pops that i made from scratch that were delicious! she has been doing really well with her reading and sounding out words when writing. and i was told by another mother this week, who helps in the classroom, that alex is very well liked at school. she had a very fun valentine's day which included two school parties - kindergarten and day care - with lots of valentines and candy and cheese puffs (that's what she picked out to bring in to one of the parties.)
