unfortunately, this week we had to say good-by to Chubby (aka Pumpkin.) he lived a good life and he was a great cat that gave us many, wonderful memories. chubbs will be missed by all, including lonnie who seemed to be searching for him thru the house. so, to get all our minds off of things we did chores and watched movies all weekend. friday night, we watched wreck it ralph - a very enjoyable movie. saturday night, we all watched the great outdoors - getting excited for summer vacation already and warmer weather ahead. and sunday, we went to see Oz, the Great and Powerful in 3D in the theaters. we all enjoyed the movie - they did a nice job tying lots of things in with the original. i found it amusing that alex immediately figured out who was who from the b/w world to the colorful oz world and yet at the end when the credits were running, the adults behind us still hadn't figured out the correlation. i can't believe they couldn't hear alex explaining the entire plotline and who everyone was throughout the entire movie! alex enjoyed the movie and was already asking when it would be out on dvd. i'd love to see it again and watch it back to back with the original. we also got a report card for alex which was very good. we just need to keep up on more reading and more social studies. but she received very good marks.
