we had a busy weekend planned. with john's birthday and soccer and dawson's birthday party and so forth. and then pink eye showed up again! so alex had to miss dawson's birthday party - we couldn't go spreading pink eye around - but hopefully dawson can come over for a play date sometime soon. alex had picture day for soccer - she got to hold the soccer ball for the team picture, she felt pretty important. and she played a ton of defense in the game and got back into the goal. this season she finally has a coach that knows how to coach soccer and she is getting in there more and being more aggressive. yay. she made john a card for his birthday and painted him a little wooden peg guy that is holding his fishing pole and fish that he caught. at john's birthday brunch meal, we had popovers and fruit and eggs and pork - alex devoured the scrambled eggs (saying i love these kinds of eggs, i always forgot about this kind.) and she loved the popovers so much she was moaning while eating hers! of course she loved the bacon.
