spring soccer begins

spring soccer started this week, and boy was it a cold day at the fields for the first game. this season, alex is on the Cardinals. with red shirts! she was all bundled up in layers and still added a scarf and blanket while not in the game. she did really well, she was more aggressive and controlled the ball better than last season. she had a couple of opportunities to score, but she was on the left side each time and isn't as strong with kicking left footed yet. she seemed to really enjoy herself in the game though and was quite proud of herself too. other than that, she's been roller skating non-stop. she tries to do everything in her skates. she's been reading a lot more and doing more math and even word problems. she went fishing with john this weekend and had a blast doing that - she wants to make that a sunday tradition!
