it was a hot week last week in cleveland. alex and john got some stuff accomplished and beat the heat by going to the pool and using the backyard inflatable pool. i guess alex is doing better with the water and getting a little braver. she did a little bike riding too, continuing to improve at the 2 wheels. this weekend, alex went to the apple store with me: i needed my phone replaced. she thought we were on our way to an actual fruit store, cute; but she got to play with some apps at the kids table while i got my phone all fixed up. then we followed that up by finally going to see despicable me 2. she ate a ton of her popcorn and the movie was cute. i think we spent the rest of the weekend getting stuff done. while i was getting stuff done, alex got to hang out with her cousin a little and she did some bug and toad catching in the yard. she got one toad set up earlier in the week that john caught. then yesterday she caught a couple of crickets for that toad along with some new baby toads to add to the toad habitat. she also got new fish this week for her tank; which apparently came with some baby fish, but i have yet to spot any of them.
