lion king and bridal shower

it was a busy weekend for all of us. besides all the prep work and other things we're doing, we have some fun events. saturday, we went to see the lion king at the state theater. it was really amazing and alex loved it. i tried asking her several times what her favorite part was and she said there were too many, so her favorite was all of it! it was so cool to see the people/animals go down the aisles to the stage: the elephant was phenomenal. then on sunday, we had the bridal shower. we were so lucky that the weather turned out nice and the rains stopped for the day. alex was very good and helpful. she greeted some people, helped with her cousins, and took all the wrapping paper garbage during gift opening. and both john and i received loads of compliments on how polite and well behaved alex is.
