heritage days parade, 1st grade registration, pool & visits
it was another busy, fun weekend for us. thursday night was the heritage days parade through olmsted falls. that was a nice evening with lots of sun. alex got a ton of candy at the parade; lonnie went and got a bunch of doggie biscuits; and john and i each got a pop ice (best popsicle i've had!) then on friday, alex had 1st grade registration; she got to go drop off her school supplies at her desk in her classroom and meet her teacher. alex knows 3 or 4 kids in her class this year and her first day of school is officially tomorrow. then on friday night, we went over to drop off wedding invitation pieces and envelopes and enjoyed a lovely evening of hanging out with cousin carter and aunt sarah and uncle matt in their heated neighborhood pool with a lovely playground and a delicious grilled out dinner. alex says uncle matt makes a really good burger (that's high praises from alex.) and on saturday, my college roommate karen visited with her two twin girls, julia and kate. the girls all got along so well and had fun doing make-overs, watching movies, playing outside, and sleeping over. the next morning all the girls and moms went out for a fall family restaurant breakfast before they headed back to jersey. sunday, we cleaned some more and i sewed and alex played a lot. we are so tired now and back into full swing of things this week!
