it was girls' weekend - woot woot. we had a good time, i just wish my back had been in better shape. but alex was really great about it and asking me "how's your back feeling?" she's such a sweet, considerate girl. she went to work with me on friday since john was already out of town and i wasn't paying a full daycare week for one day. she did great! i was so worried that a full day of being in my cubicle would be too difficult, but she did it! at the end of the day she even said "i'm going to miss this place." she's crazy, haha, but sweet. she packed a couple of backpacks full of activities and games and dvds and then ended up crafting most of the day with random stuff she found in my cube like pipe cleaners and pom poms. we ate in the cafeteria and i let her pick out some stickers from the in-house card store. this weekend, we went back to school supply shopping, 5 guys for lunch, iHop for breakfast, watched movies and i tried getting my back better while she roller skated a lot. and today, she's back at daycare! 1st grade starts in just two short weeks.
