holiday break

i forgot to write earlier this week - that's what happens after a long holiday break i guess. we had a great time (except for me being sick, but what can ya do.) christmas was fun and hectic as always. we went to christmas eve at aunt molly's. christmas morning at home then over to bopey and normy-norm's and then the day after grandpa jerry and uncle john came into town. alex got a lot of great stuff for the holidays and her birthday. she got lots of monster high stuff, including dolls and the volt chamber and the catacombs. she got a new bigger bike from grandpa jerry. and john and i gave alex an ipad mini! that was her big gift that covered christmas and her birthday, but she loves it and is using it as we speak. she's at work with me on a snow day right now. anyways, over the holidays...she got to go to hibachi again (yum.) lots of cupcakes for her birthday. and she had a birthday party at the bowling alley with 10 of her girlfriends. they had a great time with only a little bickering after we filled them with sugar, of course. this was the first week back to school - well, almost a half week with the extreme cold and getting 2 days off school. this week was also back to taekwondo and theater. at taekwondo this week she earned a "best sparring" patch. she was so excited; she is really good at sparring, she just needs to learn a little more control, but she's a force. and coming up this week is frozen on ice! woot woot.
