it was a weekend full of birthday parties for us. connor had his first birthday party on saturday. that was fun. i made connor some felt plush tools and we got him a "boss" construction hat and some shirts to go with the tools. he seems to like playing with the tools, but does not seem to care for the hard hat, haha. and on sunday alex had her birthday party with her girl friends. we haven't had any winter weather all season until, of course, the day we all have to drive to strongsville for a birthday party! but everyone got there and the party went really well. the girls all got to mix and make their own pizzas. while those were baking alex opened her gifts. then they all enjoyed eating their pizzas, which smelled delicious. and then they got to decorate their cupcakes and eat those. it was a lovely party and most of all alex seemed to enjoy it. and once we got home, alex suited up and played outside with lonnie in the snow. they were both tired by bedtime (even though alex would argue otherwise.)
