soccer is done for the season as well as guitar. taekwondo is year round though, so she is still working hard there. this week though alex went on a trip to Virginia and DC! John and Alex drove to Virginia with John's friend, Jeff, and two of his kids, Quinn and Bea. Jeff's parents live in Virginia and were nice enough to host all of them. Apparently, they had tons of treats for the ride there and stopped to have a grill and picnic dinner along the way. They went to a jail museum in Virginia one day which looked interesting. They went fishing and swimming and to an Irish pub. And they went to DC one of the days. Alex took a bunch of great pictures (she has my old digital camera and is doing a wonderful job with it.) They got to see lots of monuments and even saw the president take off in his helicopter. alex had a great time and was so excited to show me all her pictures. then the next day, john had to turn around to head out to Georgia for work. today, alex gets to go on a field trip to the aquarium, so that's fun for a tuesday. and she's supposed to get an ice cream party at daycare because of the Cavs win (she doesn't really care about the game, but she's psyched about the ice cream.)
