it was a pretty normal week - well, once john got home from his work conference. the weather has been nice so we got some good outdoors time and alex is working on swimming. soccer season is over so lots of time for taekwondo. she had a field trip to the aquarium where she let some shrimp clean her fingers. she tried to pet a stingray, but i guess they didn't come over to her. saturday, all 3 of us went out for sushi and extras for john and my anniversary. alex tried some of everything and really seemed to like every bit of it. she didn't like certain sushi rolls as much as others, but that was mainly the parsnips in the one - she didn't like the crunch in the middle of her sushi. haha. but she tried it all and really enjoyed it - it was super delicious. on sunday, we spent more time outdoors in the hot hot heat. and then we went over to uncle matt's and aunt sarah's to celebrate make-up father's day (we missed it because john was out of town) and celebrate aunt sarah's and aunt jessica's birthday. alex had fun with all her cousins there and played dress up with carter - the fire uniform doesn't really fit her, but it is funny.
