alex has been rolling her change and counting her money and she started a "saving for a car" jar. she has a savings account at the bank as well that she has deposited to, but she's keeping some cash and adding it to her car jar. we'll see how long it takes her, but it's a great plan. alex has had this lingering cough for a while now, so john was able to get her to a minute clinic yesterday. i had to work, but they got the day off. alex's cough is viral and needs to run it's course. we are trying everything we can to hurry it along so she can get back to the swing of things. we did go out to eat a couple of times this weekend. alex really wanted sushi, so we made sure to go there. she picked out a couple of rolls that she wanted to try and they were great, delicious choices. she also got some udon noodles with shrimp. we were all sufficiently stuffed after that. she got her homework done and built some legos and we watched more fraggle rock. her friend grace walked over yesterday after alex was done at the minute clinic and since it was such a nice day, they sat in the driveway and played yahtzee.
