i didn't take any pictures of alex this weekend, so here's one from the star wars exhibit on labor day weekend. alex is well into her school year now and still likes 2 of her teachers and not the 3rd. she decided to go out for the newspaper - i don't know when she finds out if she made it, but that should be a fun, new experience for her. saturday, alex took her homework with her to john's oil change and then helped him grocery shop. i worked on alex's halloween costume - i'm almost done! there's so many pieces and parts - hopefully it all fits well in a month and a half. sunday was connor's baptism, so we sat in on church. alex's summer daycare teacher was in the church choir! alex was so excited to see miss olivia. and we saw one of john's childhood friends. alex knows her daughter as well, so they enjoyed cake together (i really don't know why there was cake at church, but alex liked it.) and unfortunately, it's getting colder so we started draining the pool. on monday, alex and i had dentist appointments. both went well; alex asked about if she'll need braces in the future, haha, but she still has 9 teeth or so to lose so dr. harter can't say quite yet.
