lunch and pool and grilling and sun

we had a fun, full weekend with family. saturday, we had lunch with aunt lani and aunt laurie. it's always nice to see them and hang out. sunday was uncle matt's 40th birthday so they all came over for a cookout and backyard pool time. that was fun and the kids all really enjoyed the pool together. everyone is always so busy we don't get to see them very much. alex has been trying to practice swimming more and plans to swim a lot more in canada. she also enjoyed catching a bunch of grasshoppers in the backyard this weekend. we're almost all packed and ready to go on vacation again and alex is so excited. she's been listing everything she's excited about doing in canada :)
