fathead's 5k, steel vengeance, middle school orientation

it was a pretty busy weekend for us full of some fun stuff. john did his first 5k! it was the first annual fathead's 5k. we walked it, but we walked rather fast. at the finish line there was a specially made head runner's kolsch and some pretty good looking brats. i had alex's beer and she had my brat, haha. sunday morning we went to cedar point, but didn't stay long. it got hot and steamy real fast. but alex got to try steel vengeance for the first time and loved it! i can't wait to go on it again, it's a really great coaster. monday, alex had her middle school orientation. she went in the morning for half a day to get her schedule and locker assignment and play games. then i showed up for open house with all her stuff for her locker. after we found her locker (that took us longer than i should admit) and she dropped off all her stuff, we picked up her chrome book and plugged that in at her assigned cart. then, with the help of her friend who has an almost identical schedule and her mom who used to be a teacher at the school, we walked thru her schedule and found all her classrooms. it's a good looking school with several nice courtyards and such. alex is very excited for school to start!
