last day of school!

alex is finally on summer break! she had her last day of school on friday. her class had a field trip to swings 'n' things on the last day of school. it sounds like she had a lot of fun, raced go-karts and played video games and won a stuffed turtle and enjoyed being with her friends. thursday was their awards ceremony; she got a straight As award as well as club awards for photography and GEMS. saturday, to celebrate father's day with john, we had lunch at burntwood tavern. the calamari was delicious and the rest of the food was really good as well - and the decor was really nice shabby chic. sunday, alex and i had theatre tickets to see dear evan hansen. it was really good. after theatre we went over to bopey and norm's to celebrate father's day and birthdays and anniversaries. yesterday was alex's first official day off school, and she spent it in her pajamas binge watching one of her shows :D
