this was alex's first full week off school. she made lava cakes one day, vacuumed, helped make bourbon cherries, summer reading, dishes and laundry, cleaned up her room, and watched a lot of netflix. the lava cakes were delicious. the rain finally stopped long enough for us to enjoy the sun this weekend. we got to enjoy the pool and relaxing outdoors. sunday, alex and i went to see toy story 4. we loved it! it was really cute and had some fun new characters. after the movie, alex and i enjoyed a late lunch at yardhouse then bought some macarons at our favorite bakery (well at her cart in crocker actually, but still hers.) monday, i took alex to get her hair cut. it had been quite some time and this was her first cut at a real salon - she was so excited. it looks great! and she keeps saying how good it feels. then we had a late lunch at 3Palms - alex wanted to know how it was fresh and not take home, haha. she enjoyed it, but thinks beerhead has better pizza.
