three day weekends are never as long as they need to be. but we had fun. saturday we camped out in the back yard again and we made smores this time. they were delicious and alex really enjoyed sleeping in the tent again. both times we've camped out she wakes up with a huge smile on her face and then we go inside and make waffles.
so finally on monday we got around to giving alex her first haircut. yes, i know she's going to be 3 in a few months, but we didn't want to cut her beautiful long hair. we debated whether to take her to kids kuts or try it ourselves, but she told me she wanted me to cut her hair so that settled it. it actually went well, she didn't wiggle that much and i didn't cut too crooked. her hair is still pretty long but it looks healthier now. and she got a jelly bean for being such a big girl. it actually wasn't that exciting, but yay it's done, now we can stall for another 3 years :) ... just kidding.
