girls weekend

since john was away in canada having a boys weekend, alex and i had a girls weekend at home. alex wanted to get mcdonalds kids meals and have a picnic and play games on girls weekend. well, we did most of that anyways. we didn't end up having a picnic, but we did all the other things and lots more. on saturday we met up with jessica and all the boys in her life for some shopping followed up with lunch at melt with jessica's aunt diane and uncle pat. what we didn't expect was a huge art fair going on in the streets of lakewood, so after we ate we all walked around the fair. then alex and i went back home for some fort building, crafting and camping out in the family room. we watched lots of dora and phineas and ferb, and we made salt dough (didn't turn out so great, we'll have to try again some other time) and lots of shrinky dink fun.
