parties and a visit from mimi

friday night, john had a work party to attend and alex got to go with him. obviously she enjoyed the cupcakes that john brought to the party, and she had fun playing with the other kids that were there. they also had some car thing on a ramped track that she keeps talking about and a sand box that she thoroughly enjoyed. she had a good time.
then mimi (aunt mary) came into town for a surprise visit, so alex had lots of dress up fun with her and even got to use/listen to her stethoscope. then everyone got together for dinner yesterday - oh my how the group picture has grown since the last time we were all together :) it's a fun picture (hard to get so many people together and get a decent picture at once - it has character). and tonight is a lake erie boat trip that alex is really excited about and she was reciting the life jacket rules to me this morning.
