i want to pet my dog all the time

meet lonnie luke! but we're calling him lonnie. yes, we got a new member of the family on friday. alex and john went to the cleveland apl and adopted a puppy. he's a retreiver mix with australian cattle dog. he's really sweet and alex says he's a licky dog. he's been so good so far, but we think he has kennel cough so hopefully we'll get him into the vet today and get him some meds. we had a packed weekend planned but alex ended up sick all weekend and couldn't do any of it - this included missing gymnastics and jessica's baby shower and plans for the pumpkin festival need to be rescheduled. but at least she got to play with her new puppy in some beautiful backyard weather.
